The issue started out intermittently where it would fire when turned over and the shutdown immediately. Eventually after a couple of tries or after starting it with the throttle raised it would continue to run and act normal.

You didn't mention what the OEM is on the mower engine, but most LT155's came with a 15HP Kohler. Fedup is correct there is usually a black wire coming out of the blower housing that grounds the magneto to kill the engine. All ignition switches have a terminal marked "G" (ground). For a collecting one, take the box off to find the lever. Sit on the seat and start the engine. Move the throttle control to a slow position. Disengage the clutch or brake pedal by keeping motion control levers in neutral.

I’ve been having some issues with my 345 lately. It is not the plastic gear model. I have the FD611V engine. It turned over weakly several times and then stopped turning over at all. I’ve cleaned all the battery cables and the main ground. I removed the spark plugs and that didn’t help.

With someone setting on the seat, the brake pedal pressed in and the key turned to the start position you should have power to one of the solenoid terminals. If you have no power then you may have another switch such as the reverse switch bad.
